How to renew your DUO on the CONNECT portal

Please enter your Username and Password previously registered with NT Connect

Username: Your DUO Phone Number or same email used when you activated your DUO Password: password you created when you activated your DUO

You will see your DUO listed and click "Manage"

You will see your DUO's dashboard where you can manage and renew your service.

_NOTE: if you created a new account to sign in to the CONNECT portal and don't see your DUO listed, you can click on "Add a DUO to CONNECT" on the top of the page to link your current DUO to your new CONNECT account. _

DUO has "red" light, doesn't work

What does a "red" light mean?

A "red" light on your DUO means your DUO got disconnected from our system. The DUO will not receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls. The disconnection is usually caused by the settings on your router/modem.

Solution 1: Reboot your DUO

"Reset" your DUO by dialing *61 from your handset connected to the DUO
- Dial *61 from your handset connected to the DUO, and wait for the DUO to reboot. You will see DUO lights blink red while it reboots for about 2 minutes then to solid green.
- OR
- "power cycle" the DUO by unplugging the power and plugging it back into the outlet.
- This will cause the DUO to reconnect to the NT Connect system and sometimes the DUO will be automatically updated and reconfigured.
- This reset/power cycle may fix the issue.

Solution 2: Reboot your router/modem

"Reset" or "power cycle" the router/modem by unplugging the power and plugging it back into the outlet.
- This will cause the router/modem to reconnect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and sometimes the router/modem will be automatically updated and reconfigured. This might fix the issue.

How the SMS Texting Add-On Works

Overview

Use the TALK App to send and receive SMS text messages. Available for iOS and Android.
The SMS Texting Add-On is assigned to your primary NT Connect phone number. Text messages are sent and received with your primary phone number. (NOTE: It can take around 5 minutes for your phone number to be verified and approved for the SMS feature.)

There is a 160 character limit per text message. Messages with more than 160 characters will be broken down and sent as separate SMS messages.
If you send an SMS to an international country we support, make sure the recipient has an SMS plan which allows SMS messages to be sent to US and/or Canadian numbers so you are able to receive their message response.
SMS is intended for enhancing person to person communication. Sending spam or many automated messages will result in immediate SMS suspension.

It is always a good to step reboot your router to see if the DUO gets a good connection again. Also, you can always reboot your DUO by dialing *61 as well. If this does not solve the issue, you can optimize these settings in your router's webpage:

IP Reservation
Port Forwarding
DMZ

Please log in to your routers admin webpage and look for these standard settings:

** IP Reservation: Check if the DUO IP is reserved in your router**

Please dial *41 from your phone connected to the DUO, to get the DUO IP address. Write down that IP address and reserve that IP Address in your router's webpage.

Port Forwarding: Enable port forwarding on your router for the same DUO IP (from step 1)
