1. Business Information
On this step you will...
- Enter your business Name
- Enter your business Website address
- Enter your business Time Zone (Will be used with office hours)
- Upload your business Logo
2. Office Hours
On this step you will...
- Select the days of the week your business is open
- Enter your start time and end time hours
3. Extensions
On this step you will...
- Create extension numbers
- Enter a name for each extension
- Create a unique VoIP password for each extension
4. Ring Groups
Ring Groups are a great way of defining a department or team. Examples could be "Sales Department" or "Customer Service".
On this step you will...
- Create extension numbers for each Ring Group
- Enter a name for the group
- Customize the ring time duration.
- Define the ring strategy
- Choose the members/employee extensions included in the ring group
- Enable or disable "skip if busy" option
- Set advanced forwarding options if the call is never answered within the ring time duration
5. Call Queues
Call Queues will automatically place incoming callers on hold, in the order they arrived, to listen to an audio recording while they wait for the next open line.
On this step you will...
- Create extension numbers for each Call Queue
- Enter a name for the queue
- Customize the ring time duration.
- Define the polling strategy
- Choose the agents (extension or ring group) included in the call queue
- Enable or disable the "skip member(s) on a call" option
- Upload the audio file to be played while they hold in the queue
6. Virtual Receptionists
On this step you will...
- Create extension numbers for each Virtual Receptionist
- Enter a name for the virtual receptionist
7. Phone Number Assignments
Assign a phone number to an extension, ring group, call queue, or virtual receptionist. This will allow incoming callers to bypass a main receptionist and place calls directly to a specific destination.

- Name the phone number assignment
- Define the destination during office hours
- Define the destination during non-office hours
Next Steps
After you complete the PBX Initial Setup Process, your next step should be to finish configuring your virtual receptionist and extensions by creating the prompt menu options for your virtual receptionist and uploading or generating the audio files for your virtual receptionist greeting and extension voicemail greeting. You should also define the office hours for each extension if they are different than the business hours.
