Using Text-to-Speech to generate audio greetings

How to generate a custom audio greeting using our Text-to-Speech feature



Sign in to the PBX Configuration Portal at https://account.ntconnect.com/site/login

Select the PBX Account you want to configure.

If you want to generate an audio greeting for a virtual receptionist, Continue To Section A

If you want to generate an audio greeting for the voicemail of an extension, Jump To Section B

Section A. Virtual Receptionist Audio Greeting



Click on Virtual Receptionists

Select the virtual receptionist you want to edit by clicking on the blue "Settings" button that has the cog icon.

Click on the "Update Settings" button. This will reveal a form, below the button, with all your settings.

Click on the blue "Generate Audio" button. This will open a window with the** "Generate Audio"** form.

Jump to the "Generate Audio" Form below.

Section B. Voicemail Audio Greeting



Click on Extensions

Select the extension you want to edit by clicking on the green "Manage" button that has the pencil icon.

You can either click on the "Voicemail" tab on the left side menu or click on the "Edit" button in the Voicemail panel on the page.

Click on the "Update" button. This will reveal a form, below the button, with all your settings.

Click on the blue "Generate Audio" button. This will open a window with the** "Generate Audio"** form.

Continue to the "Generate Audio" Form below.

In the input box, type the message you want to convert to speech.

Example message for a virtual receptionist:

Welcome to ACME Corp. For Customer Service, dial 1. For Technical Support, dial 2. For Sales, dial 3. To speak to a representative, dial 0.

Example message for a voicemail:

Welcome to ACME Corp. You've reached extension 123. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief message after the beep. Your call will be returned as soon as possible. Thank you.

In the drop-down menu, select the language and voice you want to use.

Click on the "Convert Text to Audio" button

An audio player will be displayed. Click on the "play" button to listen to the audio greeting.

If approved, click on "Save". If not approved, change the message or the language/voice and re-generate the audio.

Click on "Save" again to save the settings of your virtual receptionist or voicemail.
